Getting Started

Setup Guide

Follow these steps to go from zero to a fully connected Helius Terminal — live market data, AI analysis, and order execution ready to go.

What you'll need

A brokerage account at a supported brokerage (paper or live)
For some brokerages: developer keys you create at the broker
One AI key — Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT
Setup Progress0 / 3 steps

Helius Terminal works with the brokerage account you already have. Some brokerages link with a sign-in at the brokerage; others with API credentials the brokerage issues to you directly — HeliusOne never operates a shared app. Credentials are encrypted on our servers.

  • Where a brokerage needs developer keys, they can take a few days to be issued — the terminal opens once a brokerage is connected on your account page, so come back to heliusone.com/account when they arrive
  • Link several brokerages and trade every account from one terminal
Which brokerage?

Alpaca links with a sign-in at Alpaca — no API keys to create. Paper and live accounts both work off one sign-in.

  • On heliusone.com/account, under Terminal setup → Brokerage, choose Alpaca and click "Use Alpaca"
  • Launch the terminal, read the authorization notice, then click "Continue to Alpaca"
  • Sign in at Alpaca and approve access for Helius Terminal
  • Switch between your paper and live accounts any time in Settings
Note: Your Alpaca password is never entered in Helius. Alpaca issues a token, stored encrypted on our servers, that you can revoke from your Alpaca dashboard at any time.
